Prague!
My first international assignment was in Prague. It was supposed to be for two years only and then return to home. Somehow, I enjoyed being abroad and did not feel ready to go back home when the two years were coming to an end. Now, twelve and a half years and another seven countries later, I am still not really ready to return. Prague was and is a lovely city. I lived and worked there from 1995 till 1997. During these two years alone the city developed and changed quite a bit. I love this city and have been back visitng at least once a year since. Last year alone, I went there three times. Having friends there owning restaurants and bars is not a disadvantage either! :-)
Due to the food and beer there, I gained almost ten kilos in the two years in Prague. Something that was not an advantage for my continued football career with the Prague International Football Club. A place where I also met a lot of interesting people. The ten kilos (and then some) have in the meantime (finally) disappeared again.
